Charity Water Event – New Media Synergy Teams up for Charity

LIFFFT and Get Seconds (startup resident at Surf Incubator) connected with New Media Synergy to host a benefit for CharityWater. The event was hosted at our partner venue FRED Wildlife Refuge on Capitol Hill.  Rencently, FRED Wildlife Refuge has completed major renovations and we were excited to help host a charity event with a new bar,  VJ booth and stage.

New Media Synergy is partners with FRED Wildlife and provides the venues massive 20X50FT video wall and visual system with Lux Collective to create Seattle’s finest real-time events space.

About the Cause: Every year in Africa, 40 billion hours are spent walking to gather water. Here is your opportunity to make the lives of people effected by clean water. Make your contribution now: http://mycharitywater.org/donald-kav-and-scott

The event  production team included LIFFT, New Media Synergy, Richard Brown Photography,  Social Innovation Fast Pitch (SIFP), Personify, SURF Incubator, Foxycuts and CoCA. New Media Synergy provided real-time event coordination, social photography syndication, Vjs and event support.

Main Stage Bringing in Donations for Charity

Our team of photographers and syndicators worked in concert as “SocialDjs” to create a real-time social media stream to create buzz inside and outside of the charity event. We then pushed out direct response messages and links to donate to the charity. This approach enables us to reach potential donors at the event and to those who could not attend.

FLYING RC SHARKS!

There is nothing like the New Media Synergy powered FRED Wildlife Refuge immersive event venue in Seattle, WA, USA.  The helium filled RC flying sharks were so super fresh as they could fly and dive in the 30FT ceilings with a huge visual sea floor background projection. This creates a perfect backdrop for viral photos shot from guest’s smart phones, zapped right to Twitter, Facebook and Google+. All to help support clean water. Good job team from LIFFT for pulling this event together quickly!

“SocialDJs” on the New Media Synergy Team in Action.
Tim Reha, New Media Synergy’s Founder, is the original creator of the term and integrated content product, syndication, direct response and analytics that form the concept of ”SocialDJs”. It all goes back to djing and mixing video back in the old “Rave Days” when the first internet cafe in Seattle was created before 1994. Today with the advent of real-time fast media processing, massive ram and fast GPU processing tied to social media syndication, the “SocialDjs” idea is now prime to become a global phenomenon. We are especially proud of Kevin Owyang for spearheading this event effort and moving the SocialDJs forward in evolution.

Real Time Events Seattle

The event hosts created superb viral media content with a live mermaid arial act. The right “sizzle” added to your content strategy is key to creating viral media syndication tied to direct response results.

There was a cool underwater theme for the event, complete with 20X50FT HD video wall powered by New Media Synergy, Infocus and Visualist T.J. Davis, Lux Collective (In house VJ at FRED Wildlife Refuge).

Transactions & Analytics:
For an event produced with basically a small budget by startups with literally days of planning from our first “Ask for Support”, the results were decent and solid.

New Media Synergy was glad to support this event and applaude the team from LIFFT that turned a simple birthday party into a tech networking event tied to the Water Charity that was a success!

Other interesting stats for donations for the greater “good” cause space. We like the fact that entrepreneurs lead the “give back” and show that entrepreneurship is often NOT about hoarding material wealth.

But rather about the experience of the journey. Then if there is success, entrepreneurs  become major donors to charity. The USA’s pathetic banking and political system should get a clue here as should the vast population and put way more energy into the startup ecosystem!

Research shows that Entrepreneurs lead the philanthropic donation chart and we support this segment.

Special thank you to the team:  Kevin Owyang, Melissa Fry, Sharman Ghio, Ben Slavens, Daniel Adams, Jesse Rhodes and the staff at FRED Wildlife Refuge.
